Big Boost: Wolves boss issues Neto injury update ahead of West Ham clash.

Arsenal renew Pedro Neto interest but face competition from two Premier League rivals | The Independent

Latest Wolverhampton Wanderers news from BirminghamLive as star Portuguese forward nears return from hamstring injury.

As Pedro Neto approaches a comeback from injury, Wolves head coach Gary O’Neil will not take any risks with the Portuguese attacker. Neto sustained a hamstring strain during the 2-2 draw with Newcastle on October 28, and has since missed their past six Premier League games.

The 23-year-old is also expected to miss Wolves’ Sunday (2pm) trip to West Ham due to injury, although he may play in Chelsea’s Christmas Eve match at Molineux.

When asked if Neto was working out with the starting squad before the game, O’Neil replied, “No, not just yet.” We sincerely hope he’ll be included in the matchday squad for Chelsea, but he won’t play against West Ham.

It doesn’t necessarily indicate a major setback if he isn’t included in Chelsea’s matchday squad. Despite how near they are, the nature of the damage makes their proximity insufficient. We must confirm that he is correct. If all goes according to plan, I want to meet him before Christmas.

Rayan Ait-Nouri, the defender, should be fit for the trip to West Ham after sitting out the previous three games due to an ankle injury. Prior to Nottingham Forest’s draw last week, the Algerian international started light exercise, and in the previous few days, he has accelerated his recuperation.

Hopefully, Ryan will return and be available again, according to O’Neil. “He performed well during training today.”

Before Sunday’s match, Wolves trail West Ham by five points. David Moyes’ team’s previous Premier League match ended in a 5-0 drubbing at Fulham.
