The Associated Press named Notre Dame running back Audric Estime to its second team of All-Americans.

Running back Audric Estime of Notre Dame has been recognised as an All-American for a second consecutive year; this time, he was named to the Associated Press second team. Estime has now been selected by Pro Football Focus, The Athletic, CBS Sports, and the Associated Press as a second-team All-American.

With 920 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground in 2022, Estime had a breakout year for Notre Dame, but in 2023 he rose to the top of the national backfield. Estime broke the all-time Notre Dame record for running touchdowns with 1,341 yards and 18 rushes for touchdowns.

With over 100 yards of rushes in three of the first four games of the season and only five yards short in the season-opening blowout victory over Navy, the New Jersey native set the tone early. His 80-yard touchdown run turned around Notre Dame’s ailing offence and helped the Irish defeat NC State 45–24 on the road.

With at least 100 yards of rushes in three of the final four games, Estime concluded the season on a high note. He finished with 114 yards over Wake Forest and 115 yards versus Pittsburgh, but he saved the best for last. Estime scored four touchdowns and gained 238 yards on 25 carries as the club defeated Stanford 56–23 to complete the regular season.

His four touchdowns were the third-best single-game total in Notre Dame history, and his 238 yards ranked fourth.

Since Reggie Brooks in 1992, Estime is the only running back from Notre Dame to win two All-American titles. Estime will end his career at 11th all-time in running yards (2,321), 7th in rushing touchdowns (29) and 9th in 100-yard rushing games (9), even if he does not play in the bowl game.
