Great News: Welcome Injury Update on Star Outfielder from the New York Yankees.

Yankees GM Brian Cashman defends team's process in expletive-filled rant: 'I think we're pretty f—ing good'

New York Yankees’ general manager Brian Cashman provided a positive health update on star outfielder Aaron Judge on Thursday, saying that his toe injury is “resolved.”

After trading for superstar outfielder Juan Soto on Wednesday, the New York Yankees gave continued good news to fans on Thursday.

Aaron Judge’s toe injury is “a resolved issue,” Brian Cashman said. “We think it’s behind him.”

While this was always the hope and expectation in the offseason, it’s still good to actually hear it.

Judge missed nearly two months of action in 2023 after injuring the toe in a collision with the wall at Dodger Stadium. He tore a ligament in his big toe. The Yankees finished in fourth place in the American League East and missed the playoffs entirely one year after getting to the ALCS.

While the acquisition of Soto is obviously an incredibly exciting one for the organization, Judge’s health and performance are still the most important factors in the team’s success.

One of the best players in the entire sport, Judge is a five-time All-Star, a three-time Silver Slugger, a Rookie of the Year winner and an MVP winner.

Even with the injury, he hit .267 in 2023 with 37 home runs. He is the anchor of the team’s lineup and one of the most feared hitters across the league.

With the acquisition of Soto, Judge is slated to move back to centerfield with Soto and Alex Verdugo set to flank him.

In addition to getting Soto and Verdugo and trades, the Yankees are active in the free agent market. They remain heavily invested in the chase for top pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
