JUST IN: That may help to understand how he is working hard to be ready for the playoffs….

Marcus Lee is working hard to be ready for the playoffs, only six days after sustaining what appeared to be a severe injury.

Lee to start Game 1 if fit

Marcus Lee, a big man for the Tasmania JackJumpers, has the potential to heal miraculously and start against Perth on Friday night, the club has said.

In the JackJumpers’ victory over Illawarra on Wednesday, Lee appeared to have a major shoulder injury and departed the floor after just 22 seconds.

Since then, the club has disclosed that Lee had a pinched nerve in his neck. brought on by shoulder discomfort.

Lee is attempting to be ready for the playoffs despite only having the injury for six days.

Assistant coach Jack Fleming stated, “He will be day-to-day, but at the moment he is tracking well and we are optimistic about it.”

We’re fortunate that there wasn’t a serious shoulder injury, and he appears to be doing well.

“It’s great news that it’s just a minor neck tweak; we thought it was an AC or a shoulder from the moment it happened, and it’s great to have him back so early in the week.”

Fleming said he is in a “good spot” to play against the Wildcats when Lee entered the court on Tuesday for practice. A final decision will be made later this week.

Following Lee’s exit from the game last week, Will Magnay was outstanding. The two players are essential to the JackJumpers’ hopes in the three-game Playoff Series.
