Fan-favourite Josh Magette leaves the Tasmania JackJumpers - Pulse Tasmania

The Tasmania JackJumpers have confirmed the news that American-born Vice Captain Josh Magette will be finishing up his time at the club.

Josh was an integral part of the Tassie basketball team, serving as one of the JJ’s foundation players and helping them make the grand final in the first season (2021-22).

A broken cheekbone and fractured eye socket ended his 2022-23 campaign early, just before the finals.

In a statement, the JackJumpers thanked Josh for his contributions to the club.

Sources suggest the JackJumpers have reportedly secured a deal with American Jordon Crawford, set to join the team as a back court ally for marquee man Milton Doyle.

32-year-old Crawford was the leading scorer in the Turkish Basketball Super League last season playing for Buyukcekmece.

At 168cm tall, Crawford has played for a number of European teams in recent years and will bring valuable experience to the Jackies after Josh Magette’s departure.
