REPORT: Wolverines jersey pick for the Rose Bowl game has been revealed.

Michigan football looks ahead to Rutgers: 'It's business as usual'When the Michigan Wolverines take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in Pasadena to try to win the National Championship, they will be dressed in a traditional manner.

The Michigan Wolverines will definitely be wearing their customary blue jerseys when they play in the Rose Bowl. The No. 1 rated Wolverines will wear their blue jerseys, while the No. 4 ranked Crimson Tide will wear their away whites, according to information released by the Rose Bowl earlier today.

More than any other Big Ten team, Michigan (13-0) will play in the Rose Bowl for the 21st time. For the first time since 1997, when Michigan won its final national title by defeating Washington State in the Rose Bowl, the Wolverines are favoured going into their semifinal meeting with Alabama.

Here are some other notes regarding Michigan’s bowl game history, courtesy of MGoBlue.com:

• Michigan will be making its 51st all-time bowl appearance, which is the 11th-highest total among FBS schools.

• Michigan will be making its 40th all-time bowl appearance in the month of January.
