The Pro Football Writer’s Association recently announced the inclusion of Trey Hendrickson, the Bengals’ edge rusher, in its 2023 All-NFL team. Hendrickson, voted as the Bengals’ MVP for the season by the Cincinnati chapter of the PFWA, had an outstanding performance. In the 2023 season, the seventh-year player from Florida Atlantic University achieved a career-high of 17.5 sacks, tying for second place in the NFL.
Throughout the season, he participated in 742 defensive snaps, the highest in his career, and generated 79 pressures, the second-highest in his career after the 2021 season (87). Recognizing his contributions, Cincinnati wisely extended his contract in the past offseason, securing his services through the 2025 season.
