The Oklahoma Sooners have been predicted to secure a commitment from the four-star cornerback for the 2025 class according to the Rivals Futurecast.

In their pursuit of defensive excellence, the Sooners are now targeting four-star cornerback Cobey Sellers, who is emerging as a key player in the 2025 recruiting class. Sellers, ranked within the top 150 players overall by 247Sports and On3, holds a consistent position within the top 30 players in his position category.

Standing at an impressive 6-0 and weighing 170 pounds, Sellers already possesses good size and showcases his skills on the field. As a sticky-man corner, he excels in defending at the catch point and contributes actively in run support. His athleticism allows him to perform well in both man and zone coverages, demonstrating an ability to make impactful plays on the ball in the air.

Sellers, who also handled punt returns and played quarterback during his senior season at Shadow Creek, is anticipated to be a notable player in the spotlight as the 2025 recruiting class unfolds. Cornerbacks coach Jay Valai has been effective in shaping the team’s depth chart, and adding Sellers would further strengthen their defensive lineup.
