NewsNow: Toronto Blue Jays pitcher unhappy after loss in NFL Playoffs.

Here's what the new upgrades to Toronto's Rogers Centre look like

The Cleveland Browns were eliminated in the NFL playoffs on Saturday by the Houston Texans and Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt was not happy about it.

The Cleveland Browns were eliminated from the NFL Playoffs on Saturday, falling to the Houston Texans, 45-14.

The season is now over for Cleveland, who finishes up at 11-7. All in all, it was quite an accomplishment for the Browns to even make the playoffs, considering all the turmoil they had at the quarterback position. By the end of the year, they were starting Joe Flacco at the position, who wasn’t even on a roster when the season started.

Current Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt was devastated after the loss, making his feelings known on social media:

With Bassitt unable to root for his Browns anymore, he’ll have to focus his attention on trying to bring a championship to Toronto.

The Blue Jays have their own playoff woes to worry about, as the team has failed to win a single playoff game in each of the last two seasons. Toronto was swept by the Seattle Mariners in the wild card round in 2022 and was swept again in the same round by the Minnesota Twins in 2023.

Despite the playoff failures, the Jays do have one of the best rosters in the American League. They feature Bassitt, Kevin Gausman, and Jose Berrios in the rotation and also have a loaded lineup, complete with sluggers like Bo Bichette and Vlad Guerrero Jr.

The 34-year-old Bassitt is heading into his 10th year in the big leagues with the White Sox, Athletics, Mets and Blue Jays. He went 16-8 a season ago and led the American League in wins.
